Born in 2024 on the barge Son de la Terre, at the foot of Notre-Dame, OS PARIOCAS is the vibrant echo of Paris Samba Soul nights. This unique project is spearheaded by Nicola Són , a French singer dubbed "the most Brazilian of French singers" by television legend Jô Soares. Drawing on his years spent in Brazil and numerous performances, including the renowned Programa do Jô , Nicola Són infuses his love of Brazil into this musical adventure.
A Franco-Brazilian collective
composed of eight musicians from the Parisian scene, OS PARIOCAS brings together French and Brazilian talents around a common goal: to revive the spirit of Black Rio , this 70s movement mixing samba, soul, funk and Afro-American music.
A groove between Paris and Rio.
Under the direction of saxophonist Yann Jankielevicz – a collaborator of Manu Dibango and Tony Allen – the group revisits samba-soul with energy and creativity. Original compositions and rearranged covers make up a committed, festive, and resolutely mixed repertoire.
