Born in 2024 on the barge Son de la Terre, at the foot of Notre-Dame, OS PARIOCAS is the vibrant echo of Paris Samba Soul nights. This unique project is spearheaded by Nicola Són, a French singer dubbed "the most Brazilian of French singers" by television legend Jô Soares. Drawing on his years spent in Brazil and numerous performances, including the renowned Programa do Jô, Nicola Són infuses his love of Brazil into this musical adventure.
A Franco-Brazilian collective
composed of eight musicians from the Parisian scene, OS PARIOCAS brings together French and Brazilian talents around a common goal: to revive the spirit of Black Rio, this 70s movement mixing samba, soul, funk and Afro-American music.
A groove between Paris and Rio.
Under the direction of saxophonist Yann Jankielevicz – a collaborator of Manu Dibango and Tony Allen – the group revisits samba-soul with energy and creativity. Original compositions and rearranged covers make up a committed, festive, and resolutely eclectic repertoire.
