In the fall of 2026, the Port of Montebello, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, will establish itself as a new and essential cultural hub under the name Kilomètre Zéro. Facing Notre-Dame de Paris, the symbolic starting point for all roads in France, this iconic quay will become a meeting place for the performing arts, music, and literature, in the heart of the Left Bank.
As many barges as there are cultural disciplines
The Kilomètre Zéro project brings together venues with strong and complementary identities. Son de la Terre will fill the quayside with the sounds of jazz and world music, offering an elegant and accessible live program. Nanna will dedicate its spaces to literature, encounters, readings, and contemporary storytelling. Finally, La Nouvelle Seine will continue to showcase theatre and comedy in its renowned, intimate setting.
A new cultural starting point opposite Notre-Dame
Located opposite Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, just a few meters from the Kilometer Zero marker for French roads, the Port of Montebello naturally embodies the idea of a point of origin. With Kilometer Zero, this place becomes a cultural starting point: a space where people come to discover, listen, read, and share. From the start of the 2026 academic year, the quay will establish itself as a fully-fledged cultural destination, vibrant, multidisciplinary, and deeply rooted in Parisian history.
