Julia Hornung Trio feat. Aurore Voilqué brings together four renowned musicians from the European Gypsy Swing scene, each asserting a unique musical voice and a regular presence on international stages. At the heart of the project, Munich-based double bassist Julia Hornung leads the trio with a clear artistic vision and an open approach to ensemble playing.

The music is built on listening, interaction, and groove, rather than on fixed roles. French violinist and singer Aurore Voilqué joins the group as a special guest. A well-known figure on the Parisian gypsy swing scene, she brings a precise and lyrical violin style, punctuated by carefully chosen vocals that enrich the ensemble's sonic palette.

On solo guitar, Giangiacomo Rosso develops an expressive and personal approach, rooted in tradition, while Julien Cattiaux provides a solid and engaging rhythmic foundation.

The repertoire is rooted in the Gypsy Swing tradition inherited from Django Reinhardt, revisited through the shared experience and musical personalities of the group members.

In May 2026 the quartet will record its first album
