After twenty years of dedicated service in New York, where he played and recorded with the greatest musicians, Franck Amsallem has released an album that serves as a farewell to the American metropolis. Leading a top-flight international quartet featuring the brilliant Cuban saxophonist Irving Acao, he affirms that jazz, as he envisions it, can be played just as effectively here and now.
