”A brotherly duo with irresistible energy, somewhere between incandescent funk, modern jazz and vintage groove.
The Honnet Brothers are a French duo composed of brothers Anthony and Davy Honnet, respectively on Hammond organ and drums. Immersed in music from childhood, they quickly developed a common language nourished by jazz, funk, electronic music and Afro-Caribbean influences, with an avowed love for vintage sounds and organic groove.
Their musical universe, both cinematic and deeply danceable, follows in the footsteps of artists such as Eddy Louiss, Medeski Martin & Wood, Fela Kuti, and Delvon Lamarr, while asserting a resolutely personal identity. On stage, the duo unleashes a contagious energy, blending finely crafted melodies, hypnotic rhythms, and audacious improvisations.
For this evening of April 12, the duo will be accompanied by Julien Lourau, a major saxophonist in French jazz.
