”"The intimate encounter between two poets, two big names. Olivier Ker Ourio takes the harmonica off the beaten track, Quentin Dujardin is one of the aesthetes of Belgian guitar-jazz." – TSF Jazz (FR)
The word 'Serendipity' entered the French language very recently. Its broad definition is the gift of making fruitful discoveries by chance. A form of understanding of things obtained by this chance itself.
Olivier Ker Ourio and Quentin Dujardin met in 2016 during a studio with Richard Bona & Manu Katché. The common vibration that they share for the melodies places them before this obvious fact: to one day make a record together to record the intensity of this original sound that they sense.
Since this happy crossing, time has done its work around their respective musical approaches: jazz for the harmonica player, crossover for the guitarist.
This disc “Serendipity” is the crossing of an ocean of blue notes, alternating between calm seas and stormy crossings. These waves carry us from one port to another. A journey towards immense spaces caused by the benevolence of chance: serendipity.
Olivier Ker Ourio – chromatic harmonica
Quentin Dujardin – nylon & baritone guitars, loop station
A unique place that suits all occasions, whether you want to celebrate the past, the present or the future!
