Roberta Sava Quartet

”An evening dedicated to Jazz and elegance. Come and discover Roberta Sava, a Sicilian jazz singer with an expressive voice and refined style... The modern-day incarnation of Ella Fitzgerald.
The group, composed of musicians already established on the Italian and European jazz scene, finds its artistic expression in a genre that blends the sounds of the great jazz orchestras of the early 20th century with the virtuosity derived from gypsy jazz, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of 1930s ballrooms. Energy, virtuosity, and the desire to play together are the main ingredients that characterize these musicians.
Roberta Sava is an Italian singer from Sicily, specializing in jazz. She develops a musical universe inspired by the great voices of classic jazz, blues and soul, with a particular interest in American performers who have marked the history of music.
Her voice and interpretation allow her to tackle a repertoire ranging from swing to blues, including jazz standards.
Born in 1989 in Sant'Agata di Militello, in the province of Messina, Sicily, Roberta Sava trained in jazz singing at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Palermo. Throughout her career, she has performed at various festivals and musical events in Italy and Europe with several different projects and musicians.
Through her affinity for the great voices of jazz and blues (Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Etta James, and Aretha Franklin…), Roberta Sava is part of a musical tradition that she seeks to keep alive through her performances and ensemble projects. Her career demonstrates a commitment to the Sicilian jazz scene and a desire to introduce this repertoire to new audiences.
