For this evening, Mario Ponce-Enrile draws primarily from his first album, "From This Moment On," recorded at Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey. Between now-forgotten standards and timeless ballads, he pays homage to the great voices of jazz while asserting a personal, nuanced, and natural style. In concert, the trio's rhythmic precision enhances the singer's warmth and depth, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and vibrant.
