With her new album *Stories*, recorded in New York, the young Swiss pianist Manon Mullener takes us on a musical journey inspired by moving testimonies from people she has met around the world. Each piece on this modern jazz album with Cuban influences tells a unique life story, such as that of Zoila, a 95-year-old Cuban grandmother who reminisces about the perfume shop she ran with her husband in 1950s Havana; that of Noh, a Mexican taxi driver deeply connected to Mayan values; and that of Willard, an opera enthusiast from New York's upscale neighborhoods.
