Jerome Sabbagh, saxophonist and composer, was born in Paris in 1973 and has lived in New York since 1995. He prioritizes lyricism, sound quality, and the pursuit of the perfect phrase. A saxophonist rooted in the jazz tradition and representative of the most eclectic and vibrant aspects of the contemporary New York scene, Jerome Sabbagh's style is marked by a deep attachment to melody. He offers varied and cohesive music that oscillates between pop/rock moods and mysterious atmospheres, always leaving ample room for improvisation. He was one of Paul Motian, playing with him for a week at the Village Vanguard alongside Ben Monder. He has recorded twelve albums as a leader, including the highly acclaimed Vintage, with Kenny Barron, and Heart, with Al Foster , one of his final recordings. He has also recorded with Ben Street, Rodney Green, Daniel Humair, Jozef Dumoulin, Greg Tuohey and Johnathan Blake.

His latest album Stand Up!,featuring Ben Monder, Joe Martin and Nasheet Waits, was released in 2025 on the label he founded, Analog Tone Factory.
