" With their blend of "Downtown Soul" and "Uptown Funk," The Hypnotiks have become one of the leading groups of Earth's Sound
.
The Hypnotiks, one of Paris's finest soul/funk groups, returns to the stage in full force at Son de la Terre. This seasoned old-school collective offers a unique blend of downtown soul and uptown funk.
To herald the arrival of summer, The Hypnotiks have chosen to pay tribute to Californian soul. For this exceptional evening, the group invites Indy Eka and Gabe Zinq — two friends of the band — to celebrate the soul tradition of this West Coast state.
Certainly, California is primarily known for the "Flower Power" years, but it also has a long tradition of soul and funk, with artists like Sly and the Family Stone, Tower of Power or, more recently, Anderson .Paak.
They will be on the bill tonight, where the "Summer of Love" transforms into the "Summer of Soul".
