Heavily influenced by Sinti music, Django Reinhardt and the current Gypsy jazz scene, Elias Prinz has shaped a sound of his own: virtuosic but melodic and sensitive, intense and always imbued with great emotion.

Thanks to friendships forged with Sinti musicians, he was able to immerse himself in their music and traditions, developing an authentic, melodic, and unique style that radiates all the passion and beauty of Gypsy jazz. Accompanied by his Parisian band—Raphael Tristan Jouaville on violin, Mathieu Chatelain on rhythm guitar, and Esteban Felix on double bass—Elias offers an acoustic repertoire blending original compositions, traditional songs, selected jazz standards, and works by Django Reinhardt and his contemporaries.

This 26-year-old guitarist recently won first prize at the Kurt Maas Jazz Award 2023 (Germany) as well as the BMW Young Artist Jazz Award 2025.
