La musique de Maë Defays en tant qu’auteure et compositrice navigue sur les ondes de la soul et du jazz .
C’est plus du côté du jazz que l’emmène le quintet qu’elle forme avec son père Olivier Defays et Ludovic Depreissac .
Dans un répertoire écrit sur mesure comportant notamment des chansons originales , la voix aérienne et limpide de l’artiste est tour à tour mise à contribution en tant que soliste bien-sûr mais aussi comme instrument à part entière en se fondant à celles du saxophone et du piano.
