Driven by an irresistible energy, Beyond Brazilian Stories offers a musical journey between Brazilian traditions and contemporary jazz.

Born from the meeting between Mathieu Bélis and Stéphane Dardour, introduced to the music of Brazil by Philippe Baden Powell, the project quickly expanded to include a daring quintet mixing saxophone, drums, vocals and flute.

Between reinterpretations of great Brazilian composers and original compositions, the group creates a universe that is at once warm, inventive, and virtuosic. Their new album, O ritmo do sonho (October 2025), was hailed as a "Revelation" by Jazz Magazine .
